The New Ofsted Framework and Send Post Pandemic Seminar

Ofsted and SEND

Date: Tuesday 5th October 2021
Time: 9.30am to 3.30pm
Location: Kettering Park Hotel and Spa

Following a year of disruption due to the Pandemic, Ofsted will be resuming their full programme of graded school inspections in autumn 2021

The Ofsted framework was introduced in September 2019 and was updated in April 2021.

Inspectors are spending less time looking at test data, and more time looking at what is taught and how it is taught. They will consider how a nursery, school, college or other education provider achieves its results.

The teaching of children with special educational needs in mainstream schools is an integral part of the new framework. Inclusive schools who are meeting the needs of all their pupils will have an opportunity to showcase the excellent work that they are doing.

The SENCO will have a key role in the inspection process especially if SEND is selected for greater scrutiny through the “deep dive” process.

This day will help prepare you and your school to ensure you are ready for your next inspection.
